Bake Sale Announced by Board to Raise Funds for Bobo Creek Work!
The Board and Fundraising staff have initiated a NEW bakesale in order to support the Friends of Bobo Creek’s staff and ongoing operations.
“We are so glad the Board of Directors takes funding the Friends work seriously. This bakesale on Saturday the 25th, generally brings in key funding for two or three months of our insurance needs, “ said Giselda Longsdale, Development Director.
According to the Board Chair Lori Blunderstrike, there will be cookies of all types for $11 each, scones for $15 each, full cakes offered at $60 for a full cake, and pies for $5.
While the Friends budget is between $590k-$820k annually, the Board likes to try all options to help ensure that funding comes in the door, and that their staff who help to funddraise are making the best use their time.
“This is a neato way to raise our profile, just like at the local church board I’m on, and raise some dollars too, “ said Lori Blunderstrike. After retiring from her job at the State Department of Ecology, Blunderstrike is now lending her talents to the Friends of Bobo Creek.
